BACKGROUND

Sayda Career Guidance Programme was established in response to the growing need for early career support among high school learners in Southern Africa. Many young people complete their schooling without a clear understanding of their strengths, the opportunities available to them, or the requirements of the modern job market. This often leads to uncertainty, misaligned study choices, and underemployment.

Recognizing this challenge, Southern African Youth Development Agency (SAYDA) created the programme to bridge the gap between education and the world of work. The initiative introduces learners to career pathways, equips them with decision-making skills, and connects them with mentors and industry professionals.
