Sayda Bursary Allotment Programme is a division of Southern African Youth Development Agency.

Sayda Bursary Allotment Programme is a student empowerment initiative designed to provide access for financial support to Southern African learners who face financial barriers in pursuing higher education. Many talented and deserving students are unable to further their studies due to limited resources, and this programme was established to bridge that gap.

WHO WE ARE...

Sayda Bursary Allotment

  • Providing Financial Support – Awarding bursaries, scholarships, and grants to academically deserving but financially disadvantaged learners.
  • Our objective is to empower financially disadvantaged learners across Southern Africa by providing access to higher education through structured financial support.
  • Our mission is to remove financial barriers to education by providing bursaries, mentorship, and support systems that enable talented but disadvantaged learners to pursue and complete their tertiary studies.

BACKGROUND

Sayda Bursary Allotment Programme was established in response to the growing number of students who complete high school with strong academic results but are unable to pursue higher education due to financial constraints.

Recognizing that education is a powerful tool for breaking cycles of poverty and inequality, SAYDA created this initiative to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity. The programme focuses on supporting disadvantaged learners by providing bursaries, grants, and scholarships, while also ensuring that recipients have access to guidance, mentorship, and career support throughout their academic journey.

Over the years, the Sayda Bursary Allotment Programme has become a critical pathway for youth empowerment, helping learners from across Southern Africa to access tertiary education, build skills, and prepare for meaningful participation in the economy and society.
